Tamar Branitzky Textile designer, graduated from Shenkar college of engineering and design, and M.des from Bezalel academy of Arts and Design. In 2010 opened her textile design studio in Tel Aviv, which mainly engages in the research of new fabrics and prints for various uses. Branitzky presents her works at leading art exhibitions, conducts print workshops and design textiles for leading fashion and design brands in Israel. Her special collection of scarves is sold at selected museum stores and boutiques in Israel and abroad. These are her first steps into the world of home wear.
SeaShore is a series of textile art, combining fabric and paper, with unique textures created in mixed techniques such as sewing, printing, chemical burning, painting, and tearing. Seashore was inspired by a series of photos, taken by Branitzky, capturing the charm of the sea in different seasons of the year. The works combine golden threads from the 1950s, old pages from recipe books that were sewn and processed so that the text becomes a texture, drawing papers and special fabrics developed by Branitzky in a chemical process.
