Tamar Messer’s paintings are characterised by intense color pallet, thick contour lines, bold brush strokes and expressive texture. The artist’s figurative, somewhat naive style, contains hidden symbolism concerning the artist’s personal world and environment. Messer’s work almost lack of perspective; the figures, objects and text are all displayed at the front. Beyond many exhibitions in Israel and abroad, Messer participated in a long-term exhibition at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
